The Head Tennis Professional for Losantiville Country Club is Richard Canelas.
Richard is a graduate of Xavier University where he played, and lettered in, Division I tennis; he was a member of the team during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons when Xavier won back to back A-10 Conference titles!
Richard then completed his MBA, also at Xavier, with the goal of combining his passion for tennis and his education to pursue a career as a Teaching Professional.
Richard has now been teaching tennis for over eight years and has enjoyed "paying his dues" by working for other Tennis Professionals while he honed his personal teaching philosophy until he achieved his goal of leading a Tennis Program on his own.
Assisting Richard in his responsibilities is his father, Carlos Canelas. Carlos has been teaching and coach both soccer and tennis for decades. As a former professional soccer player in his native Argentina, he both understands, and is able to convey, what is required for individuals to compete at the highest levels of achievement and how to help them get there. More importantly, he is able to demonstrate & communicate his passion for recreational tennis for the sake of both fitness and enjoyment.
Both Richard and Carlos are extremely excited to meet the remainder of the LCC Membership (& your guests), and to see how they can help you to incorporate racket sports into your lifestyle.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Richard either at 859.816.9165, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
